Derby County midfielder Kris Commons is likely to be out of action for at least a month with a torn hamstring.
The 26-year-old had to be substituted after 25 minutes of Saturday's 1-0 home defeat against Swansea City and a scan on Monday revealed a tear.
Boss Nigel Clough told the club website: "It is a blow because Kris has been excellent in recent weeks.
Commons, who could be out for up to six weeks, added: "I'm gutted but it's something I'll have to deal with."
The Scotland international has been plagued by injury this season but has been in excellent form since his return to fitness at the end of December.
