Jewell's side are now unbeaten in six league games
Derby County manager Paul Jewell says his side have turned a corner with Saturday's 10-man win at Norwich.
Goalkeeper Roy Carroll was sent off for bringing down Leroy Lita in the second half but the Rams went on to win 2-1.
Jewell told BBC Radio Derby: "It shows we are going in the right direction because we dug in.
"I thought we'd take the bull by the horns and go two up front and it seemed to work. It's not brilliant football but we're getting difficult to beat."
He added: "We're moving in the right direction but we're not getting too excited."
