The former Manchester United keeper has played just once for Rangers |
Derby boss Paul Jewell has finally completed the signing of keeper Roy Carroll from Scottish club Rangers. Carroll has joined until the end of the season in a move which was held up as Rangers tried to capture a replacement.
Rangers landed Neil Alexander from Ipswich to pave the way for Northern Ireland international Carroll, 30, to switch to Pride Park.
"It has been a protracted deal but I believe it will be worth the wait," Jewell told the club's website.
"Roy is a great pro and he will come straight into contention for Saturday's game at Birmingham."
Meanwhile, Rams goalkeeper Stephen Bywater has been linked with a move to Ipswich Town.
