The Canadian's wife, Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady, recently had an operation to treat an aneurysm on her brain.

Rams caretaker boss Terry Westley told the club website: "Pesch is back after looking after Karren - thank goodness everything is positive there.

"There's all this talk of him helping out the manager, but he wants to play and have an impact on the pitch."
