Christie is a wanted man

Malcolm Christie's move to Middlesbrough could be on hold after Derby County revealed that another Premiership club is interested in signing the striker.

It had been thought the young striker was on his way to the Riverside Stadium, possibly along with Pride Park team-mate Chris Riggott, in a loan deal which would be made permanent in the summer.

However, the Rams have confirmed another club have come forward to try to snap up the former England Under-21 international.

"We are still holding talks with Middlesbrough about the proposals they have put on the table regarding Malcolm Christie," said a Derby spokesman.

"But we have now received a serious enquiry from elsewhere which we are also looking at."
