Confusion surrounds Quakers deal

Darlington

The Football League have denied that they have approved a bid by businessman Raj Singh to take-over Darlington.

The Quakers released a statement that maintained the League had found the bid to be compliant with their regulations, at a meeting on Thursday.

However the BBC has learned that no such approval has been disclosed thus far and further information needs to be submitted before a decision is made.

Singh is looking to purchase the club and remove them from administration.
