Darlington manager Dave Penney is looking for his side to take the initiative in Saturday's match with Bradford by scoring first.
He told BBC Tees: "We've been solid defensively but in the last three games we've gone 2-0 down.
"It would be nice to start off with a clean sheet and build on that which was our strength at the beginning of the season," Penney added.
"It shows great character from us to come back."
In their push for promotion, Penney believes the Quakers can put the pressure on their league neighbours.
"We have got ourselves in a position that we can achieve something," he said.
"We are a point behind third with the same games. They've got to come here.
"It's in our hands. There are a lot more twists and turns to come."
Darlington will be looking to pick up all three points on Saturday as the two teams head for different positions in the league.
"They are going to end up mid-table by the looks of it. We are trying to achieve something so we need the points more than them," Penney said.
