Darlington boss Dave Penney has paid tribute to striker Pawel Abbott after his display in Saturday's 3-2 home win against Grimsby.
Abbott, 26, took his tally to nine goals for the season and Penney was delighted to see the Pole back to his best after returning from injury.
"It was a quality finish from a player who's on top of his game after his injury problems," he told BBC Tees.
"He's had his operation on his knees and he's flying at the moment."
He added: "The only disappointment for me is that Pawel didn't go on and get a hat-trick."
