Dagenham & Redbridge are looking to sign a replacement for Shane Huke before the end of the transfer window.

The 23-year-old midfielder returned to his native Australia last week for personal reasons.

Manager John Still told BBC Essex: "We will be looking at possibly bringing somebody in over the next week.

"But it's got to be the right person and we have identified one or two, but unfortunately other teams haven't wanted to do business with us."

He added: "So we'll look again this week and see if we can push on in another direction, which I'm hopeful of."
