Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still said his side should be proud of their league and cup efforts this season.
The Daggers currently sit eighth in League Two and have an FA Cup first-round replay with Hereford next week.
Still told BBC Essex: "In the Carling Cup we did terrifically well against Reading and lost 2-1 at home.
"We're four points off the top of the league and we've got another game in the FA Cup, so in all competitions I think we've done ourselves proud."
The Daggers host League One Hereford at Victoria Road next Tuesday to earn the right to play Leicester City in the second round of the cup.
