Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has acted quickly to replace Shane Blackett by snapping up ex-Rochdale centre-back Jon Boardman. Boardman has joined the Conference leaders as a free agent after being released by Dale earlier this month.
The 26-year-old ex-Woking defender had spent 18 months at Spotland.
Blackett and striker Craig Mackail-Smith joined League Two side Peterborough on Monday for a reported six-figure sum.
Meanwhile, Daggers striker Cliff Akurang, 25, has rejoined his former club Thurrock on loan for the rest of the season, reports BBC Essex.
