Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has revealed that he is in talks with potential buyers for the cash-strapped Championship club.
Following the passing of Friday's deadline for interested parties, Guilfoyle admitted: "Discussions are at a delicate stage.
"I am not in a position where I can expand on where we stand at this current time.
"But I remain positive that the club's future will be resolved shortly."
The Eagles, who went into administration in January with debts of around £30million, were docked the statutory 10 points.
They are still in the Championship relegation zone, now three points adrift of safety with eight games left.
Palace have only one win in six games since Neil Warnock left for QPR on 1 March, to be replaced as manager by Paul Hart.
But Guilfoyle, who set the deadline after warning that the club could not be financed after the end of the season, is now confident of a positive resolution to affairs off the field at least.
"This deadline was always a real one," he said. "As once the season comes to its conclusion monies will need to be found.
"I needed to be in this position as I didn't want to start looking at the alternatives."
A host of high-profile names have been linked with a takeover of the club including rapper P-Diddy, although Guilfoyle said last week that he had not been contacted by the American-based star.
Palace take on Cardiff City at Selhurst Park on Saturday looking to end a run of five home defeats in six matches.
