Young Crystal Palace midfielder Sean Scannell has signed a new deal with the Championship club.
The 17-year-old made 25 appearances for the Eagles last season, scoring twice.
Manager Neil Warnock told BBC London 94.9: "We've been talking to him for a number of weeks and are just glad to get it out of the way now.
"He's done ever so well and it's just a reward for him for getting in the squad and getting into the Republic of Ireland side."
Warnock added: "He's one of a number we want to keep hold of long term and I think that's the way the club's going to go now.
"We haven't got a major amount of money so we've got to look after the ones we have."
The Eagles are also expected to complete the signing of Calvin Andrew from Luton Town on Friday.
