Dougie Freedman says the offer of regular football led to him accepting a three-month loan deal at Leeds. The 33-year-old Crystal Palace striker had ruled out a move on Tuesday.
He told BBC London 94.9: "I just felt there was an opportunity to play some football, try and score some goals and try and get a promotion for Leeds.
"Then I can come back in the summer and say to Neil Warnock this is what I can do and see out the remaining year of my contract."
