Wise overreacted, claims Taylor
Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor and Leeds manager Dennis Wise
Taylor (left) says Wise overreacted in the row over team news
Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor believes Leeds manager Dennis Wise overreacted in the row over the leaking of team news.

Wise claimed an unnamed player would never play for Leeds again after giving team details to the opposition before Saturday's game against Palace.

However, Taylor told The Guardian: "I'm disappointed and told Dennis.

"A Leeds player spoke to a Palace player on Friday night but it was a general conversation."

Taylor added: "I had an idea of who would be in the Leeds team at eight o'clock on Friday night but I had no information about team shape.

"As it was, a couple of players I thought would be in the Leeds team weren't. Players talk to players, it's part of life and it's not malicious.

"I should think there are 40 similar situations around the country at the weekend.

"I don't know why Dennis has made such a big thing out of it, it has been blown out of all proportion."
