Kiraly spent seven years in Germany with Hertha Berlin |
Crystal Palace have signed Hungarian goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly on a free transfer from Hertha Berlin in time for their return to the top-flight. The 28-year-old made more than 200 appearances for Berlin but was keen to move to Selhurst Park after struggling to hold down a first-team place.
"He's an international keeper who has played a huge amount of times for Hungary," said boss Iain Dowie.
"I want Gabor to push Julian Speroni very, very hard."
The Eagles boss continued on the club's website: "He's a great athlete and very, very competent on crosses and a good shot stopper."
Kiraly said: "I've made the most important decision of my life, that's why I was so patient.
"A move to England is a dream come true for me."
