Crewe Alexandra hand contracts to five young players
Crewe manager Dario Gradi is looking to secure the club's young talent
Academy graduates Nick Powell, Max Clayton, Brendan Daniels, George Ray and Ben Garratt have signed professional contracts with Crewe.
Defender Ray, striker Clayton and midfielder Powell have committed to the Alex up to the summer of 2014.
Goalkeeper Garratt and winger Daniels have signed deals until 2013.
Powell, Clayton and Garratt have all been involved with the first team squad this season and are currently away in Serbia with the England Under-17 squad.
