Fogler was on the bench for Crewe's last match with Stockport
Bartek Fogler is poised to sign a new deal that will keep him at Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Pole has been on month-to-month contracts since joining the club in the summer.
Fogler told BBC Radio Stoke:"It is not good for a player when he doesn't know his future.
"Now we are talking about a longer contract and I hope to get a chance to play and show Dario (Gradi) what I can do but I also know I have to wait."
The Polish keeper had been playing his football for Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki in his homeland before trying to win a contract at Bristol City and Wrexham last year.
The former Polonia Warsaw man then impressed on trial at Gresty Road and has been back-up for Chelsea loanee Rhys Taylor.
Fogler now feels he is ready to step up to the first-team after adapting well to the change in lifetsyle.
He added:"I come from a big city in Poland - the capital Warsaw - and I've never lived in a small city. I now know where everything is in Crewe and that is good. I feel comfortable, Crewe is fine for me. "
