Goalkeeping coach Steve Marcella has decided to stay with Crewe, having earlier announced he was leaving.

Marcella had cited the daily commute from his South Yorkshire home as the reason for his departure.

But he has now had a change of heart, and will be at the club's Reaseheath training ground on Monday to continue with his duties.

He has only been with the Alex for a month, renewing his partnership with Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson.

The pair had previously worked together at Barnsley and Notts County.
