Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson thinks the 3-2 victory against Scunthorpe on Saturday will improve the confidence and spirit within the squad.
The Alex twice fought back from a goal down to win in the ex-Stoke boss' first league game in charge.
Icelander Thordarson told BBC Radio Stoke: "I think this will give them the confidence to take on any team in the division with lots of passion.
"If we do that, and approach every game without fear, we can improve our game."
Crewe remain bottom of League One, but after taking 10 points from their last five games, they have cut the gap between themselves and 20th position to four points.
