Crawley Town have signed Kettering Town winger James Dance on an 18-month deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old, who was also linked to York, Grimsby, Mansfield and Darlington, joined the Poppies from Redditch in 2009.

Red Devils boss Steve Evans told the club website: "He has been improving as each week goes past.

"He has good ball control, he opens up opposition defences and he is quick, he is a terrific signing."

Evans added: ''The lad can play on either flank and I have seen him being brilliant as a striker so we will get him here, let him settle in and have a good look at him in our environment."
