Crawley Town winger Sergio Torres says he does not feel under pressure after joining the big-spending club.

The Reds are first in Blue Square Bet Premier after a transfer spree.

He told BBC Sussex: "The players want to do well and please the manager. Whether you pay money for them or not, it doesn't matter.

"I've been here three months and the boys have been really good to me. I'm playing with good players and enjoying it more than feeling pressure."

Crawley welcome Newport County to the Broadfield Stadium on Saturday, and the 26-year-old is expecting a tough challenge.

"It's going to be very hard. They're not third in the table for no reason," he said.

"They are a physical team and are very strong so we will have to pass it round them."
