Crisis-hit Conference club Crawley Town started pre-season training with just five members of last season's squad. All of the Red Devils' players are free agents following the club's move into administration, with several already having left over the summer.
However, Danny Brown, David Woozley, Tony Scully, Chris Giles and goalkeeper Phil Smith reported for training along with a number of trialists.
"It was encouraging that they wanted to train," boss John Hollins said.
"All of them can walk out so we will have to see what happens, but the good thing is that they are here and we have people to work with," he told the Brighton Argus newspaper.
