Coventry City can still make a late charge for the play-offs, according to defender Marcus Hall.

The Sky Blues went on a six-match unbeaten run prior to recent defeats by Chelsea in the FA Cup and Sheffield United in the Championship.

City are currently 14th in the division and Hall told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We're out of the Cup but we're doing well in the league.

"Hopefully we can push on now and make it an exciting end to the season."

Left-back Hall returned to the starting line-up in Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final at the Ricoh Arena and is now expected to have a run of games due to Danny Fox's knee injury.

The Sky Blues have 11 matches left with trips to Bristol City and Preston on Tuesday and Saturday this week before a home match against Doncaster.

City are nine points off the top six and despite losing their last two games Hall is adamant he and his team-mates will not allow the season to fall flat.

"We've got to get positive results away from home and then we've got that last home game before the international break," he said.

"If we can get a good few points from them we can get ourselves in a good position for the final run-in."
