Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson says the club are trying their best to bring in new faces following midfielder Jay Tabb's departure to Reading.

Ranson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We need wide left players and we have targeted players who play on the right and left.

"We have made offers and we will be pushing hard to get it done before the transfer window closes.

"If the deals can not be completed, we will do it in the summer."
