Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is urging his players to stay focused when they play Newcastle United in the second round of the Carling Cup.

"I will make sure we prepare properly and there will be no people getting carried away," Coleman told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

And Coleman believes a cup could be beneficial to his side's league form.

"You can have a good cup run and good form in the league - why not both?" he added.
