Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is backing his players to start scoring goals in abundance.

The Sky Blues have slipped to just above the Championship drop zone after netting only twice from open play in their last nine matches.

But Coleman said: "Somebody's going to get a hiding if we keep making chances.

"We say to the lads to keep doing what they're doing because they deserve more than what they've got," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire."

The Sky Blues continue their relegation scrap at home to Sheffield Wednesday at the Ricoh this Saturday (15 March).
