Baldwin joined Colchester from Chelsea

Colchester defender Pat Baldwin has told BBC Essex he is still in talks with the club over a new contract.

The centre-back, along with Alan Maybury, are the only first-team players yet to sign new deals.

Baldwin, who could agree terms when he returns from holiday, was a mainstay of the U's side when Paul Lambert took over as manager last October.

The 26-year-old had been offered the chance to leave on loan by caretaker boss Kit Symons.
