Easter scored his first goal for the U's against Yeovil
Colchester United striker Jermaine Easter has said he is already building a good understanding with Clive Platt.
The 26-year-old scored the winner against Yeovil in their 1-0 victory on Tuesday night, his first since joining the U's on loan from Millwall.
The former Wycombe man told BBC Essex: "Obviously I've been successful in the past playing off a big man.
"Clive's no different, so hopefully the more we play together the better the understanding will get."
"It was pleasing to get off the mark and hopefully I can continue and now go on a goal-run and get another on Saturday," he added.
Easter's goal earned the U's their second home victory of the season and lifted them out of the bottom four.
As a new arrival to the club, the former Plymouth man said he felt their current league position was not indicative of their true potential.
"I think it's a lot to do with luck," he said. "When I was at Millwall, Colchester should have won that game - they gave us a really good hiding in the second half, we couldn't get out of our half - and Millwall are at the top of the division.
"It's a funny division, anyone can beat anyone on their day and we just need to get back-to-back wins now to get us up the division."
