Colchester fans will get the chance to buy parts of their former Layer Road home at an auction next month.

Items up for sale include bits of the old turnstiles and office furniture from the ground, which was the home of the U's for over 70 years.

The bidding will be held on Sunday, 20 July, with a viewing of the items taking place the previous day.

Stanford Auctioneers will handle the sale and are expected to make a full catalogue available shortly.
