Chesterfield have agreed a new one-year contract extension with last season's top scorer Jack Lester.
The 33-year-old, who scored 23 goals last season, had a year to run on his existing contract but will now remain at the club until 2011.
"Players who score 50 goals in two seasons are hard to come by," chairman Barry Hubbard told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"Jack has been a great role model, and when he said he wanted to stay I was delighted," he added.
