Chesterfield have signed ex-Nottingham Forest striker Jack Lester following their relegation from League One. The 31-year-old, who was released by Forest in May, has signed a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2010, subject to a medical.
Spireites manager Lee Richardson said: "I am delighted that Jack has agreed to join the club as he is a quality player who had other options apart from us.
"I wish to thank the chairman and board for making this signing possible."
