Cooper, was released from his contract by the Bluebirds last week and should complete his move on Friday.

Spireites boss Lee Richardson told the club's website: "I am delighted that Kevin has agreed to join as he is a qaulity player who had other options."

Derby-born Cooper is expected to be in the squad for Saturday's League Two game away against Grimsby Town.
