Santos' short spell with Chesterfield is over

The 37-year-old had been training with the Spireites before joining at the end of August initially for a month on non-contract terms.

Santos featured in a number of games for Chesterfield's reserves during his time at Saltergate.

The much-travelled French defender spent last season with Brighton and had a loan spell at Oxford before being released in the summer.

Santos has also played for QPR,Tranmere, West Brom, Grimsby and Ipswich.
