Cheltenham have signed forwards Robin Shroot and Shaun Jeffers on loan from Birmingham and Coventry respectively.

Shroot, 22, joins on an initial short-term loan to enable him to play against Gillingham on Saturday, with the intention of extending it next week.

Jeffers, 18, made four league appearances for the Sky Blues last season and joins on a one-month deal.

Cheltenham do have an agreement with Coventry to extend the loan should they wish to.

"Robin is a quality player with great ability and I'm really pleased that we have got him at such short notice," boss Mark Yates told the club website.

"Shaun is a young forward who comes highly recommended by [Coventry manager] Aidy Boothroyd.

"I've seen him a couple of times and he's strong with bags of potential."
