Cheltenham sign teenager Marshall

Ben Marshall
Marshall came through the ranks at Crewe before joining Stoke

Cheltenham Town have signed winger Ben Marshall on a month's loan from Stoke and he goes straight into the squad for the Lincoln game on Saturday.

The 18-year-old came through the ranks at Crewe and only moved to the Britannia Stadium in the summer.

He was then loaned out to Northampton Town and scored twice in 11 games.

"If you bring loan players in sometimes you get three or four wins back to back which just helps everybody along," said caretaker boss John Schofield.

"At this level the playing staff turns over at a high rate and I think if you can sometimes get a little bit better, if not the experience, for your money."
