Lincoln and Cheltenham fought out a draw in a bad-tempered encounter that saw three men sent off.
Justin Richards fired Cheltenham in front from close range but Jamie Clarke levelled for Lincoln from a corner.
A fracas ensued between the two benches after referee Graham Salisbury dismissed Lincoln's Aaron Brown for a tackle on Theo Lewis after 69 minutes.
With order restored, Salisbury then sent off Lincoln substitute Ian Pearce and Cheltenham sub Barry Richardson.
After Imps assistant boss Pearce and Cheltenham goalkeeping coach Richardson saw red, Lincoln manager Chris Sutton was also sent to the stands.
Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire:
"We conceded from another set piece which isn't great but we responded well at the start of the second half and at 1-1 I thought we were the stronger side, but Aaron Brown getting sent off put us on the back foot again.
"I thought he slipped, but that's not the issue. All we expect is for people to be reasonable and not try to influence the referee which is what I felt happened.
"At least we showed character and hung on in there but I think it's two points dropped today."
Cheltenham Town caretaker manager John Schofield told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"On the balance of play we're disappointed to have only got a point. I think we were the side trying to win it and perhaps we could've done better when Lincoln went down to 10 men.
"I appealed for the red card like everybody else did. The referee made a decision and then it got very crowded in our technical area."
