Cheltenham Town manager Martin Allen has said striker Damien Spencer will not be sold in the transfer window after taking him off the transfer list.
Spencer, 27, marked his return from injury with a 13-minute hat-trick in Saturday's 5-3 defeat by MK Dons before being sent off six minutes from time.
"Damien Spencer is not going anywhere," Allen said.
"He hasn't really been training much but he will be coming off the transfer list with immediate effect."
Spencer was placed on the transfer list 10 days ago after becoming surplus to requirements at the club.
He has made more than 250 appearances for the Robins and scored 39 goals since joining from Bristol City in the summer of 2002.
But this season his prospects have been blighted by two knee injuries and he is just returning from a medial ligament problem.
And he marked his return from injury with a fine performance for League One's basement boys and could now play a key part in the remainder of the season.
Cheltenham next face Tranmere at home on Tuesday although Spencer will be suspended after his late foul on Dean Lewington.
