Bloomer spent 16 years at Cheltenham as a player and a coach
Cheltenham have terminated the contract of long-serving first-team coach Bob Bloomer with immediate effect.
Bloomer, who has been at Cheltenham since 1992, had previously been told his future could not be guaranteed past the end of his contract in the summer.
Chairman Paul Barker told the club's website: "I would like place on my record my thanks to Bob Bloomer.
"He was a popular player and is a tremendous coach, we wish him the very best of luck in the future."
Bloomer joined Cheltenham as a player in the early 1990s and took charge of the club's youth team after retiring from playing in 2001.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed all of my time at Cheltenham Town," said Bloomer.
"I would like to thank every one of the supporters for the encouragement they gave me as a player and in my time as a coach.
"I leave with a heavy heart but wish everyone all the best for the future," he added.
