Cole could be the latest face to join the Premiership champions |
Chelsea duo John Terry and Joe Cole say they would relish playing with England team-mate Ashley Cole at club level. The Premiership champions are in talks with Arsenal regarding bringing the left-back to Stamford Bridge.
And Terry said of the potential signing: "Ashley's solid and quick and is great one-versus-one going forward."
Joe Cole has linked up with the defender down the left for England and added: "Playing with Ashley makes it easy for me as he's a great player."
But both players admit that they already have a quality left-back in Wayne Bridge at the club.
Terry said: "We still have Wayne Bridge who is back here after six months at Fulham and he looks very sharp and fit and ready to go into the new season."
Regardless of whether Ashley Cole becomes the latest player to join Chelsea, Joe Cole believes the new summer signings that have already joined will equip them well when the new campaign kicks-off.

Cole told Radio Five Live Sport: "If the season started tomorrow I'm sure we'd be very happy with our squad, but Chelsea are always looking to strengthen."
Andriy Shevchenko, Salomon Kalou and Michael Ballack have all joined Chelsea since the end of last season - and Cole says they have all settled in well at the club.
"Kalou's a young player with a lot of pace and very direct and Shevchenko's showing his class in training.
"He's the best in the business at scoring goals. That's what we signed him for and hopefully he'll put the ball in the back of the net plenty of times for us this season.
"To have Shevchenko and Ballack, two of the best players in the world at the peak of their careers, will only make us stronger and compete on all fronts.
"This year we want to make an improvement on last year. We're in four competitions and we've got a squad that is capable to see us win them all."
