Chelsea defender Glen Johnson is close to a loan move to Feyenoord, according to one of the Dutch club's directors. The 21-year-old has visited their De Kuip stadium to look at the facilities and meet head coach Erwin Koeman.
"The player was deeply impressed by the stadium. He looked around the locker rooms and visited the city," said Feyenoord director Chris Woerts.
"He has spoken with coach Erwin Koeman, who came back to Rotterdam from his holiday home specially to meet him."
Johnson, who has won five England caps, was the first player to be bought by Chelsea after Russian businessman Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003.
The right-back was signed from West Ham United for �6m by then manager Claudio Ranieri but has rarely featured under current boss Jose Mourinho.
