"He's a very good practical coach. But in his position he should think about the performances too," the former Holland star told BBC Radio Five Live.

"The result is not the only thing a big team should be thinking about.

"What he must try to do is have respect for everybody. If you are a top team then you have to have more respect."

Cruyff also criticised Mourinho over the incident in last season's Champions League tie against Barcelona, when the Chelsea boss accused his opposite number, Frank Rijkaard, of entering referee Anders Frisk's dressing room during half-time.

"His behaviour against Rijkaard at Barcelona was not good. It was not a good example," added the Dutchman.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola believes there is "little joy" in watching the Blues because the opposition are often unwilling to attack.

"I think Chelsea players play lovely football but sometimes you do not get much joy from watching their game because the other team is not playing how they normally play," said the 39-year-old.

"To get a really good game you have to have two (teams) playing, sometimes teams are very compact and scared to play against Chelsea - so they sit back.
