Chelsea signing Arjen Robben has no regrets after choosing to move to Stamford Bridge ahead of Premiership champions Manchester United. Robben has sealed a 12m deal, which will see the Dutchman move to London at the end of the season
"It's my decision - I want to play for Chelsea," the 20-year-old said.
"Before Chelsea, Manchester United were interested but finally I will play for Chelsea. It's a very good decision and I'm very glad it's over now."
The winger has agreed a five-year deal after talks with Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri and chief executive Peter Kenyon.
Robben added: "It's a very good club and a very big club. My main goal is to win trophies.
"I'm very young, it will be very good for my development. I want to finish the season very well at PSV and join Chelsea.
"If you get a chance like this you have to take it. I'm not afraid, it's a fantastic club." Robben earlier held extensive talks with Manchester United and was even given a tour of Old Trafford.
But PSV rejected the United bid - reported to be as low as 5m.
PSV chairman Harry van Raaij said: "United were first in the queue so we kept Chelsea waiting, but when we had our second discussion with United over a fee, we were very disappointed over how low they believed they could push us.
"They seemed to think he was worth a lot less than Chelsea were willing to pay."
Robben, who has pushed himself into Dick Advocaat's thoughts for a place in Holland's Euro 2004 squad, is currently suffering with a hamstring injury, but the problem is not serious.
