Seip scored two goals in seven games during his loan at Blackpool

Charlton Athletic have signed defender Marcel Seip from Plymouth Argyle on loan until January.

The 28-year-old Dutchman spent much of last season on loan at Sheffield United and Blackpool.

He has since struggled to break into Peter Reid's side and has made just nine appearances so far this term.

Reid told the club website: "Marcel's not been in the team at the moment so it's a chance for him to go away and get games.

He added: " I've got [Krisztian] Timar, Bondz [N'Gala] and I've also got [Carl] Fletcher who can play there coming back, so I've got a few options in that area and it'll be great for him."
