Ikeme has previously had loan spells at Accrington and Stockport

Charlton have signed Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme on a 28-day emergency loan.

The Addicks moved for the 23-year-old after first-choice keeper Rob Elliot suffered a leg injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Gillingham.

Ikeme, who made 13 appearances for Wolves last season, is expected to make his debut at Carlisle on Saturday.

Wolves have an option to recall the shot-stopper immediately should they lose Wayne Hennessey or Marcus Hahnemann to illness or injury.

Elliot's injury is expected to keep him out of action for up to six weeks.
