Charlton have completed the signing of Nicky Bailey from Southend United.

The midfielder has moved from Roots Hall and will go straight into Alan Pardew's squad for Saturday's Championship trip to Watford.

The 24-year-old was the Shrimpers' player of the year last season , after scoring 12 goals in 54 games.

Barnet snapped up Bailey during summer 2004 where he scored 21 goals in 127 games before moving to Southend for the 2007/08 season for �175,000.
