"He played there in a development game against Queen of the south and he was excellent," said Celtic's caretaker.
"And you saw his quality when he ran through the Alkmaar defence. It is an option for us."

"I'm really pleased with the players," he said after the match at which Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was interested spectator.
"The game was a bit of a godsend. It was against quality opposition who played a different style of football.
"I'm concentrating on the league games, but tonight was a wee bonus for me in terms of some of the performances.
"It was a really worthwhile exercise and hopefully they have learned something from that."
Samaras shot the home side into the lead after 39 minutes against the team managed by former Rangers boss Dick Advocaat, but Pelle levelled for the visitors three minutes later.
In the 74th minute, Alkmaar substitute Jonathas scored from the spot after Celtic left-back Edson Braafheid had handled in the box and, although the home side fashioned plenty of chances, they could not draw level.
"We looked comfortable and created a lot of good chances and a lot of the players have given me food for thought," said Lennon.
"A lot of these players haven't played for a while and so it was good for them to get out and play against quality opposition and they did themselves no harm."
Lennon has been pleased with the way that Celtic's players have responded after their surprise defeat to First Division opposition in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
