Boruc is unavailable for the Europa League game in Germany
Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc will miss two to three weeks of action after undergoing a minor knee operation.
The Poland international will therefore miss the forthcoming Europa League encounter with Hamburg in Germany.
Celtic boss Tony Mowbray told BBC Scotland: "Artur won't be on the bench on Thursday night.
"He's had some cartilage removed. We just had to clarify that Dominic Cervi could replace him in the squad for the Europa League."
American goalkeeper Cervi was not originally registered with Uefa as part of Celtic's pool and the club had to complete paperwork to allow him to do so.
Cervi was named on the bench for Saturday's Scottish Premier League game against Kilmarnock to provide cover for Lukasz Zaluska.
The 29-year-old Boruc has also been suffering from a thigh complaint and has missed the last two matches for his club.
