Wilson is confident Celtic can rediscover their form against Hamburg
Defender Mark Wilson believes Celtic can arrest their recent slump in form when they face Hamburg in the Europa League on Thursday.
Celtic sit bottom of Group C with one point and have slipped to second in the Scottish Premier League.
"It's important we pick ourselves up for a massive game against Hamburg," Wilson told the club website.
"Hamburg are a quality team and we need the fans to understand we are going to give up possession at times."
Hamburg sit second in Group C with three points, having lost to Rapid Vienna and beaten Hapoel Tel-Aviv, while Celtic have just one point from their games against the same opponents.
Celtic have taken one point from a possible six in the SPL and Wilson said the players were frustrated following the goalless draw with Motherwell.
They will keep the ball so we'll need patience and so will the crowd - hopefully they can get behind us

"The Motherwell game was a huge disappointment after losing a derby match we felt we should have got something out of and it's important we pick ourselves up for a massive game against Hamburg," he said.
"It's early in the season, we didn't lose and the back four and keeper were also solid, so we need to try to take some positives. But you go through stages of the season when you play like that.
"I have watched the team go through it at times over the past three years and it's vital we get our heads right."
Wilson believes Celtic will have to bide their time during Thursday's game as they search for a win to keep their hopes alive of progressing in the tournament.
"They will keep the ball, so we'll need patience and so will the crowd," he said.
"If we get that, I think we'll be okay and European nights are a whole different occasion. It will be tough, so hopefully the crowd can get behind us."
Hamburg have a selection headache ahead of Thursday's game.
Defenders Alex Silva, Collin Benjamin and Miroslav Stepanek, plus striker Paolo Guerrero, are all suffering from torn cruciate knee ligaments.
Defender Bastian Reinhardt (foot) and forward Mladen Petric (ankle) are also long-term casualties.
They drew 0-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga at the weekend.
