Striker Marc-Antoine Fortune says he only realised just how big a club Celtic are after he completed his £3.8m summer transfer from Nancy.

Asked if the Glasgow outfit had met his expectations since their return from their pre-season trip to Australia, he said: "More than I was expecting.

"I had heard about Celtic, but I saw the fans, the way they care about the players and the facilities.

"I have been very impressed, although I have not yet seen much of Glasgow."

Fortune was quickly followed to Celtic Park by midfielder Landry N'Guemo, who has been secured on a season-long loan from Nancy.

Asked what the club's fans can expect from his former team-mate, Fortune said: "He is strong and aggressive but also has very good technique and has good acceleration.

We have five strikers and they all complement each other

"It's a good choice as he wants to prove that he can play in a big team."

Celtic will have to overcome another big club, Dinamo Moscow, next Wednesday when the sides face in their Champions League qualifier.

"I think we are ready and impatient to play this game," said Fortune.

"Celtic is a club that needs to make this competition."

Meanwhile, Fortune was playing his cards close to his chest when asked who would be his preferred strike partner in the coming season.

"We have five strikers and they all complement each other," he said.
